Replacements for SanDisk USB drives that are no longer available
You may have heard the news. Companies like SanDisk are exiting the market for lower-capacity USB flash drives, concentrating instead on higher capacity models. Many of the 16GB and 32GB models are going EOL (End-Of-Life) and are no longer available.
That's the bad news. But we do have some very good news.

16GB Models are Gone
SanDisk discontinued their low-capacity drives. In the coming quarters SanDisk's lowest capacity USB flash drive will be 64GB. These 16GB models are sunsetting:
• SDCZ60-016G-B35 Cruzer Glide USB 2.0 - Simply not available
• SDCZ600-016G-G35 Cruzer Glide USB - Expensive, very spotty availability
• SDCZ48-016G-U46 Ultra USB - Expensive, very spotty availability
32GB Models See Unstable Supply
Chip shortages due to the AI data center buildouts have created tremendous pressures on the global supply chain for 32GB Cruzer Glider and Ultra Slider flash drives. Purchasing agents are witnessing poor availability, not to mention enormous price increases. 32GB drives will likely join the 16GB drives and go EOL soon. We expect SanDisk to continue consolidation in their product mix and focus instead higher capacity products.
